Easter was a lot of fun this year!! We had my sister's family at our house and any time you get those 5 little girls together, we're going to have fun!! It was really a quick visit, but fun anyways!
We amazingly had all 9 of us out the door and ON TIME to church!!! Wow!! We were all pretty proud of ourselves!! Taryn went to Power Kids with Jaycie - which Jaycie and Taryn both thought was the coolest that they got to go to class together at Jaycie's church!! And Macaela went to the "big kid" class for first graders. I had told her she could go with Jaycie and Taryn if she wantedsince she was in a strange place, but she's a big independent girl and went on her own!!
They all had fun and told us ALL about class on the way home! We got the ENTIRE story, which with Jaycie we usually only get part of the story-partially due to our not understanding everything she says. But Taryn told us everything and her and Jaycie and Macaela told us the story of Jesus and the tomb on the way home too!! It was neat to listen to them tell it and Jaycie chiming in with her tidbits too!
Back home to try and snap a few pics and check out Easter baskets. Then on to my Mom's for lunch! We had a great lunch there and then we did an Easter egg hunt for the girls. We hid them all along the sidewalks around the house and down on the patio. It was rather muddy, so this kept all the kids out of the mud, plus neither of my kids wanted to step in the wet grass!!
All in all it was a good day, but we always need a day to recover from holiday weekends!! Both girls were EXHAUSTED come Monday morning!!
