Back at the end of June, we went to Houston to visit Brad's cousins and we also made it to where the trip included a day trip to the beach. Jaycie has been talk, talk, talk, talking about going to the beach...that is all she wants to do is take a trip to the beach.......ever since school got out. So the best Daddy in the world made it work!! And it was perfect!! We went down, spent a day with cousins, then we all took a day and drove to Galveston for a FULL day at the beach, and then back to cousins house to spend some more time just hanging out! His cousins have two boys that just treat the girls like little princesses (cuz they are!) and the girls just adore them!! We also got to see and meet a new baby girl cousin, Denaly, and see her big brothers too, who also treat the girls like little princesses!! So it's no wonder that Jaycie was very sad when leaving Houston!
One little thing about the trip, we were just leaving ft worth, headed down 35 and got stuck in BADDDDD traffic - an accident of course! And not 5 minutes into our slow driving, Jaycie already starts in, "are we there yet?" Oh boy, it's gonna be a loooooonnnnggg drive!! Except for the frequent "question" Jaycie really travels just fine. But Kaylie's not really the best traveler, and she's not much on the DVD player, so as we were about 2 hours away, we were looking out the window watching for horses and cows, her favorites. We would see one, and she would be happy until she couldn't see it anymore, and then start in "oh no, oh no!" Luckily we were on a road that had LOTS of horses and cows!! Bought us some time and kept her busy!!
